Scan-built exhibit is 'Best Stand' at Oil Africa 2006

Local exhibition and display company, Scan Display, built MAN Ferrostaal AG’s award-winning stand for Oil Africa 2006. The show, representing the South African oil servicing industry, took place at the Cape Town International Convention Centre from 22 to 24 March 2006.

Scan’s Cape Town office was selected by German exhibition management company, Sektor, from a number of other Cape-based companies to build the stand for its client, global industrial services company, MAN Ferrostaal AG.

The Scan team worked to a tight deadline to build the stand according to Sektor’s design specifications and European standards. Their hard work paid dividends when MAN Ferrostaal won the Best Stand award at the show.

MAN Ferrostaal was also in the limelight at Oil Africa 2006 as it announced news of its multi-billion rand investment in the South African offshore oil industry. The investment includes building an offshore oil and gas fabrication yard in Saldanha and a service and refurbishment hub in Cape Town, boosting employment in both regions.
